Welcome to our New Homepage

Regular visitors to our site will now see regular changes to the homepage as we try to keep you informed of all the latest Grogg additions as they are created throughout the year.

We have been extremely busy in the shop with most of our time being taken up with the production of our our very special commemorative 30th. Anniversary peice. Only 30 are being produced, with only 27 being sold to the public.
This special figure could be said to have been "30 years in the making", although the modelling actually only took 8 weeks.

Richard Hughes with the New Gareth Grogg

Out of many great rugby moments we considered, in the end, as the Groggshop's 30th. anniversary coincides with the anniversary of the British Lion's tour of New Zealand 1971 and Gareth Edwards having played a unique role in the history of the Groggshop, it was inevitable we struck upon modelling the famous "handoff" from the 3rd test in Wellington.

Gareth was one of the first figures ever made by John Hughes back in 1968, so we were delighted to complete the cyclewith this nostalgic piece of rugby history.

The figure is available to buy for £650.00.

In March of this year Paul John's final testimonial dinner was held at the Vale of Glamorgan Hotel and we were delighted to produce this unique bust of Neil in the Pontypridd League Champions strip which raised £3000.00 on the night.

Paul had another great season for Ponty in this, his testiomonial year.

John Hughes recently made a special presentation at the inaugural Ex-Wales Players Association dinner at the Marriott Hotel. He presented Mervyn Davies, the first President of the new association, with a special miniature set of "Merve the Swerve" in every strip he played in.
Mervyn was delighted with his unique set of Groggs and we wish this new charity all the best for its future plans.
We were on the recieving end of some special presentations ourselves recently with some great new memorabelia donated by some old friends of the Groggshop. Firstly, Shane Howarth kindly donated not only his try scoring boots from the now legendary Wales Vs. England match at Wembley in 1999 but also his tracksuit top from the victorious Welsh tour of Argentina.
Secondly, we have now completed the full set of Rupert's famous "Moon Boots". The original white "Moon Boot's" have been on display for quite sometime in our museum but, Ru' has kindly let us have the yellow and red versions to complete the set. Needless to say we were delighted with all our new kit and we are opening two new cabinets in our museum to display them at their best.
As for new Groggs we haven't been idle. In the "All Time Greats" set, Geoff Wheel and John Taylor are now available with Bob Norster and J.J. Williams coming very soon. Jonathan Davies and Rupert Moon have also been added to this collection. To win the first edition of the new Rupert Moon Grogg click on the flashing link at the bottom of this page.

New Millennium Minis now available include our three new Welsh "Lions", Martyn Williams, Darren Morris and Robin McBryde.
