“Better Than A Slam”
On 16th of March 2013 an impressive England team came to Cardiff confidently hunting a Grand Slam only to be blown away by one of the greatest Welsh performances of the Six Nations. Gethin Jenkins was captain of Wales that day and winning the Championship in such style was described by some of the players and coaches as “Better than a Slam”. This Unique Grogg depicts the victorious captain, Gethin, in the fully logoed Admiral strip worn on that unforgettable occasion also including the Champions medal and an inscription recalling the details of that historic match.
On Thursday 9th February 2017 this unique piece will be auctioned at Gethin’s Wales v England Six Nations Dinner at the Cardiff Arms Park, his charities are NSPCC Cymru Wales and Stay Strong For Ows.
