This unique Lions Grogg figure has been specially commissioned to celebrate Gethin Jenkins’ Testimonial. Each Grogg figure made is unique as each individual piece is hand crafted and hand painted but few pieces are created with the exceptional detail and fully logoed strip seen in “Bloodied but Unbowed”. Figures like this are usually only created to be presented to the players themselves by the World of Groggs so this is a rare opportunity to acquire a singular piece of rugby memorabilia. The figure depicts Gethin in the Lions strip worn on the epic tour of South Africa in 2009 when along with Adam Jones and Matthew Rees the Welsh front row represented the Lions en-bloc in the unforgettable second Test.
On Thursday 26th October 2016 this piece was auctioned at The Gherkin, London for the first of Gethin’s Testimonial events, his charities are NSPCC Cymru Wales and Stay Strong For Ows.
