The World of Groggs is saddened to hear of the passing of one of Welsh rugby’s true giants… Bob “The Bionic Elbow” Penberthy.
Bob was one of the greatest players to wear the black and white shirt of his beloved Pontypridd and his record of 877 first class appearances is one which will surely never be broken. Bob was not only a superb sportsman and athlete, whose career spanned 24 seasons, but was also a true gentleman, a great friend to us all at the Groggshop and made a truly great Grogg.
He will be greatly missed.
