On the 13th of March, on the eve of the Doddie Weir Cup match between Wales and Scotland, a special dinner is being held at the Cardiff Arms Park Hospitality Marquee to help raise awareness and funds for the Doddie Weir Foundation. As most rugby fans will be aware Doddie was diagnosed with Motor Neuron Disease in 2017. One of rugby’s most recognised and much-loved characters Doddie has spent the last three years making a huge impact on the lives of fellow sufferers and research into the causes of this disease.
Especially for this auspicious occasion The World of Groggs has created a Unique set of Doddie Groggs to be auctioned on the night. The set of five figures depicts Doddie in his beloved Scottish, British and Irish Lions, Barbarians, Newcastle Falcons and Melrose strips and will be the only set of its kind to be made.
