Gareth Edwards & Barry John ~ England/Wales Centenary Quartered Strip
On the 3rd of October 1970 the RFU celebrated 100 years of Rugby Union with a match between an England/Wales and Scotland/ Ireland sides at Twickenham. A young half back partnership from Cardiff played for the England/Wales that day in an open and fast paced match which ended in a 14 all draw.
Gareth Edwards and Barry John were about to become household names the following summer on the victorious tour of New Zealand and this game was seen by some as a trial match for the tour. The strip worn by England/Wales on that day has long been one of my personal favourites, so I’m particularly pleased we’ve been able to make a low limited edition available for sale.
Limited to only 100 pieces and priced at £200 each.
