The World of Groggs is proud to present a new figure of Pontypool, Wales and Lions broadcasting legend Eddie Butler.

Along with the rest of the rugby community we were deeply saddened to hear of Eddie’s passing last year. Following an international rugby career in which he represented Cambridge, Pontypool, Monmouth, Wales, The Barbarians and the British and Irish lions Eddie went on to become a consummate broadcaster following in Bill McLaren’s shoes as the “Voice of Rugby”.

It was always a pleasure to meet Eddie and we were particularly delighted when we heard he was to be the narrator for our 50th anniversary film ‘A Groggs Life’.

Therefore, along with his family, we felt it would be a fitting tribute to Eddie to make a new Limited Edition Grogg of him which could also be used to help raise funds for his chosen charity Prostate Cymru.

The figure is available in Wales strip (complete with his microphone in his back pocket) and in his beloved Pontypool strip.
